Tales from Bubble Tea-s

I like Bubble Tea.

In fact, me and my roomie share the same passion : the loyal love for bubble tea. Mind you, she has been addicted for the pass 4 years, and for me, well, only recently, not yet an amateur like her.

The cheapest one we can get here, hmm, is about $1.30, and some cost more, some even have their own franchise brand. The one we're really, really attached with is the one in Parkway.
*Ipoh's bubble tea costs RM2 each, if you're talking about that shops opposite my Secondary School*

So there it goes, if you go to Parkway, buy me one bubble tea kay? Deal.

Sometimes I like bringing home the two cups, sometimes finishing mine before returning. But one difference between me and her is : I always, always finish my bubble tea first before her.

Which leads me to a thought in my head, sigh, here goes another S1.30 in 5 minutes. Mind you, hers can last for one whole hour.

And sometimes I wonder, how many things in life I had not savour, really taste what's inside, and taken for granted.
Countless, once again. Like the flowers being bought, given and thrown away when they withered.

But still, bubble tea rocks when u drink it illegally on buses. :D

Jogging along the shore line at ECP--you knew you're blessed

Ingrid is probably wondering
why this fellarh here choose to jog in the evenings
rather than mornings
or maybe afternoons

well, here's the thing Ingrid :D
I like jogging in the evenings at ECP because :

1. those are the times kids play
It reminds me so much of seeing the world for the first time, getting excited easily, and appreciated the fact that your parents are always there with you
2. you can see couples cuddling each other
old or young, they're all cute together! and those weird stuff people do to their darlings are just funny :)
3. a group of ladies walking and having fun together
means being single is cool! reminds me i have a bunch of girlfriends to bitch around :D
4. dogs
aren't these creatures the most adorable thing you've ever seen on Earth? some of them even wear SHOES! some look like their owners. oh look, there's one chasing after a stick on the beach, just beautiful.
5. people
you meet different people, some jogging some running some grabbing water bottles while huffing and puffing but all are having their relaxing time, if you call jogging a relaxing time, that is.
6. clothes
it is a rather bizarre thing to do but i love admiring clothes. this is the time when u see nike running shorts, adidas singlets and maybe a few school PE shirts here and there. oh not forgetting those who actually come here just to stroll after a hard day at work. Wouldn't it be a pleasure to see such people in their beach shorts and formal wear?
7. shoes
ahh, a bliss. i just love shoes, just love those shoes, this is the time you'll see nike adidas and all sorts of running shoes with colors beyond imaginations. some even have different colors of shoe laces. some single ladies might take off their heels and put on a pair of sandals, some ladies with their mateys have to have their heels on (no hard feelings) while men simply wore sandals, slippers or bare foot
8. family
Ingrid, this is the best part of all the evening jogs. Being away from my family makes me realized how much i miss them and how muc time spent on other stuff rather than enjoying the moments together. see those kids, see those proud moms with their eyes glittering everytime they see their children running, laughing; see those dads tirelessly chasing after their kids, and trying hard to ctach them when they trip and fall. see those kids, playing like they've never played before, and they've never build a sand castle before, and they've never had so much fun in their lives before.
evenings re the best time to see families, since mornings are filled with hectic schedules and classes. which is, for me, kind of pathetic but nonetheless important to survive;mornings are too beautiful to be wasted.

There you go, Ingrid, the answers to your question on the way to Fair price. Thank you for walking with me, that i know i'll never walk alone in the dark pavements, no matter how safe it appears to be.
And you'll probably notice more things too, if you've jog in the evenings. ;)

Down the road....this time, a cross road

Dear friends,

We know, this is the time,
where hard decisions are made
where choices bloom like forever for some
and the others who might think they're not that lucky to have choices
believe this : you have.
When all dissapointments flood up all the way to your knees
and when you think the world is unfair
when you feel all efforts and hard work all along; unrecognized
when all your hopes and dreams seem to dissapear and you're lost
Fear not,
those dreams are yours forever, they might be blur, but they're yours.
Even if the whole world thinks you are a loser,
without scholarships, without going through what the others think you should go through as a brilliant student
show them this : you're amazing
Amazing enough to challenge the norms and stereotypes
Amazing enough to bounce back after rejections
Amazing enough to say : I'll prove you wrong, and there's nothing between me and my dreams.
Count your blessings, every single one.
Not forgetting to look for doors of opportunities too, you might not know you'll create your own path
and write your own pages of stories with the most creative ways that no one could ever imagine
Smile : cause you're destined for something wonderful.

For those who had been blessed by one of the most valuable gifts in this world
Yes, it means everything for you, and I'm proud of you. :)
People might get jealous when you got what they eyed for
But don't worry, you're destinied to have it
Treasure it, hold it with both your hands
And don't forget to thank whoever's up there for this
Being a scholar isn't easy, but there are thousands out there who wish to be in your position
Count your blessings, every single one.
Some might say your future is planned and structured,
But you can always choose to go the other paths if you want to
Smile : cause you're destined for something wonderful.

The difference doesn't seem that prominent after all : we're all destined for something wonderful.

So I guess all of us are blessed in one way or another, don't we?
=)

All the best, and let's fight this war now.
My battle to stay awake studying is.....................
..................I think I need an army of coffee for that.

Love, Li Shing :D
