This passage is with respond to Alvin and Vivian’s incident of what we called it the “sex blog incident”.

while they have a sex blog, I have my good old companion here.

Fortunately, media hasn't found this blog yet. *chuckles*

Dear Alvin and Vivian,

I’ve read about you, and I’ve read about the coverage from the media and how that made you a famous pair. Call me conservative, call me naïve, call me a fool manipulated by the media--anything. And my deepest regrets for using words too simple here.

We all know who you are---Law undergraduate students, at the prestigious NUS school, with the ASEAN scholarships in hands. I did not deny the fact that those are impressive achievements, and those titles may signify you as a person who is capable and independent enough to form your own opinions on your life.

Yes, I wish not deny your rights in having the freedom of doing what you are right now. In fact, you and I both know the notion of being right or wrong is subjective.

However, I would like you to know this terrible truth about freedom—it is only to a certain extent.

While you can view yourself as any ordinary individual on the streets doing what he likes, I would like to, kindly, remind you that you are a foreigner in an open country with a scholarship. That means you have a lot at stake—apart from your scholarship and the future (like you don’t know, and like you will care), I would want you to know that you are representing Malaysia in Singapore.

Not quite a choice you are in control of, not quite a burden you find pleasant, but the moment you received the offer from ASEAN and NUS, you are already labeled as such.

While you can use your eloquence and skills in talking yourself out, that you bear no responsibility over anyone, I would like to remind you that this is not true. You do have a responsibility. A responsibility too small that it is not a surprise that intelligent future lawyers like you would have missed it.

You bear an identity beside your name. Removing all the titles as a scholar and a law undergrad student, beneath that all, you are a Malaysian. And while you are comfortably sitting there with a chance to pursue your studies, and with your studies sponsored, I would like to gently remind you that there are a thousand kids in Malaysia who yearn to do so.

How is that got to do with me? you asked. Well, I said, because of what you’ve did, the media found you. And unfortunately, the public do trust the media to a certain extent. What you did may be as trivial as a peanut to you—after all, we shouldn’t be minding your business, no?

You can never imagine your impact on the other Malaysians. Imagine this, how would scholarship committees, school principals ready to admit prospective students think of Malaysians now? How about the employers? The black mark that you’ve left (unfortunately, that black mark left in their heads in out of your control, and out of mine too—well unless you want to change the color black to orange) may costs some talented students and people from Malaysia being barred from entering this country.

And you and I know how many Malaysians would love to come here just to escape the unjust system at home. While it may be arguable that this is not entirely true, it is not false to say that this country may offer more than what our government can do at home.

Therefore, before you speak every word of defiance, remember those at home trying so hard to earn a path here. I’d hate to see their chances deprived, I’d hate to hear rumors of fewer scholarships offered to Malaysian students, and I’d hate to know those disappointments and crushed hopes.

And be reminded you bear that responsibility, and there is no way of running from it.

Call it a restricted life. But it isn’t.

Greek philosophers said that each human being bears a responsibility to the society. Yours is to the Malaysian society. And of course, the Singaporean society who has paid for your education, silly.

http://thoughtcatalog.com/2012/why-i-called-you/

Wanted to share this article for a reason. The narrator was too afraid to face her former lover and tell him how she feels.

I did what she did not. I wrote a script, called, and there goes every single thread of the truth.

As I hung up, I tore the script into bits and recycled it (thanks to my innate green-ing efforts). If you want me to recall what I've written, I don't bother. Well, I have an incredibly short term memory, and I tend to forget things when I choose to.

To all the broken hearts in this world, if you are strong enough, you can do this. I did it; it saved a lot of my time and brain juices wandering around.

And before you knew it, you have gotten over that person.

Making mistakes is not easy, it requires someone who's willing to learn, is confused, and courageous.

Realizing your mistake is not easy, too. It requires a person to stand up, to climb out of the pit, and start accepting the fact that he is imperfect.

It is an art, too.

Lets collect our artworks of mistakes and put them in a museum called experience.

Who, is this?

I believe most of us, including my parents themselves may have wondered who they really are at this stage of life. I guess it happens to this generation as well, looking at how some of my friends transform from conventional convent girls to bubble-chewing groups of four and five, or even those who choose to stop believing in the silly voice in their head, or even some losing the glitter in their eyes and their smile getting thinner and thinner. I, myself, similarly to any other ordinary teen, am still and will be doing the same thing for years to come: to continue questioning myself who I really am. Thus, my title for today’s project would be the same as most of the lines in my diary: Who is this?

I must admit I am a girl with who appears to be composed on the outside, and have the loudest mind on the inside. I am a girl capable of sitting in a corner of a room and start wondering, or maybe wandering at the same time. And I realize that the most frequent question in my head is : Who am I? Why am I behaving this way? Did my actions hurt the others? Now this may seem like a sign of an individual who is too self-conscious, but this is who I am, no matter how hard it is for me to deny it.

Having admitting myself for being self-conscious, I shall start with this list of what-I-am-not.

First, I am not a good painter. The fact that I can’t draw well has been made clear to me since the age of 5—when I awkwardly painted the sky orange and Mickey’s face blue. Neither my teachers nor parents could tell that this made me a far worse artist later. I am also a lousy basketball player. Looking at my height, I would imagine there is a need for further elaborations. Basketball is only one of the many ball games I am clumsy at—there is a whole list of ball games that I have attempted but to no avail. Being eloquent certainly isn’t my strength. I am not the kind of person who can be convincing, and it is even harder for me to convince a cat to come down from the tree. And this made one of the many reasons I joined toastmasters.

I have ambitions, I have dreams. These things had influence me to make decisions in life.

And somehow it crushes me at the same time.

At this point of time, I had attended seminars and motivational camps. Regardless of the organizers, there is a consensus of them wanting the youths to “chase after your dreams”

“Luck is when preparation meets opportunity” one says.

“The richest place on earth is not the king’s palace,” one said, “not the central bank, but the cemetery. Thousands and thousands of people died with their dreams, unfulfilled. Do you wish that happen to you”.

And these, these are the little, little quotes that became my mantra in my studies.

Until I got my hands on Nigel Marsh’s book : Fat, Forty and Fired.

In short, this book taught a person, the reader, how to juggle everything better. Nigel’s way, he claimed in his book, is to have a balance of everything. Of course, balancing work, life and family is always a task to mankind since the dawn of technology and start of globalization. Chasing after money and fame doesn’t seem that appealing at all. Mhhmm, made me think again.

And in this process of thinking and wondering, I often take the brave step of trying out myself, landing myself in mistakes, which, my parents often back me up with confidence and love.

They say mistakes may either build or ruin a person, but I believe, in this 18 years of my life, mistakes has shape every piece of me. Even the smallest mistake made may still be recalled. Most of the scars that left me staying in the dark for some time will in turn make me a more resourceful and careful person, and this is the proudest trait I have as a person : being a kinesthetic learner, I’m willing to go through mistakes and experiences to learn

The biggest mistake I’ve made so far? Choosing to come to Singapore for a college education. It is, no doubt, a blessing in disguise; but I still choose to perceive it as a beautiful mistake that took me so far away from home and landed me in a place with immerse pressure, expectations and a silver line ahead.

I grew up in a small town called Ipoh. When I was young I had no idea that I’ll grow up one day and be proud of this beautiful town. Of course, the history lessons I’ve taken in school is far from letting us reaching out to the depths of the truth, or the incredible hardships of my ancestors who once settled in this town, discovered and extracted tin ores that had led to the development of this town. Still, Ipoh is a far from being a wholly developed piece of land. I wonder, again, if the authority is really that lacking of time or resources, or, sadly, their very own commitments to put their heads together for Ipoh’s development. There was a moment in my life, when I was around 13-14 years old, that I decided to run for parliament after I saw the despotic way that the traffic police handle road-users. I dropped that idea 4 years later, realizing that sometimes, becoming a politician might not make me a person who makes changes for the benefit of the people.

Growing up in a family with parents who lost their chances of education at a young age, I often am depicted as a normal student. Indeed I am, and I must admit that I am one normal person, no matter how much I hate that fact. My father, a smart and athletic fellow, lost his chance to make his first step into university when he became complacent in college. My mother, the only daughter of a family with 8 sons, had to forgo her studies when her father lost his only job as a performer. (During those days, Malaya was not a place that appreciate arts. Being multitalented in musical instruments was not able to allow my grandfather to put bread on the table). Nonetheless, my parents are determine to educate us. I can vaguely remember my mother staying up late just to know some sense into my on a math question. It was well past midnight, well pass the sleeping time for 8-year-olds. Yet she was still there with me in the dining hall, sternly, firmly, holding a piece of pen and paper, lecturing me. That, ladies and gentlemen, shapes my respect to my two old men. One year being away from them deepens the respect. I would love to honor them today by telling their stories in my very first project in Toastmasters.

I shall conclude this, humbly saying that I am a normal girl with a loud and, still confused mind. I am praying hard that this head of mind could hold a lot more big hard facts in months to come towards A levels. I’m praying for my head to have enough prudence to build a big heart in me, so that I could make a change in someone else’s life.

Ladies and gentlemen, I conclude this with a thank you,
sincerely from,
This is me.

How to get rid of Friends who don't believe in you.

First, realise that they are not your friends.

Second, since they are not your friends, have no qualms in leaving them. There's no contract signed between you and him to be stuck in a goo out of place together. Nor there is any emotional attachments, no matter how good your friendship was.

3rd, realise that there shouldn't be anyone there to give you all the confidence. Believe or not, none of their business. You're lucky if you get no cynical friends, but there are. So live with it, or just leave.

"If you are a strong female, you don't need permission"

I wish the world will be this in time to come. And every woman will rise to be brave.

I'm one of them too, and every now and then, we are praying, even there's only one, person to believe in us.

This perfectly contradicts the first statement.

However, if you're praying for a person to believe in you, I'll be the one, my friend.

Ich bin mir absolut klar, meiner Ziele, und ich würde nicht dafür entschuldigen.

I saw a girl--not one with a meek figure
You can imagine her as an athlete  : she looked strong.

And she was crying.

I guess she has been hurt, on the inside.

I can't really say a single word of comfort, so I walked away.

"Sakit tentu ada obatnya, tapi sakit hati sulit obatnya"--from an Indon artist.

I'm sorry I did that to you.

Reasons---or excuses

Yes, your favourite line. Unfortunately, you know neither.

Been some time since I last saw you, friend. Heard a lot about you, and me, too, in school.
Yes, you.

I cannot simply deny the fact that you are a smart person. Manipulative and loquacious--
Kudos to the denigration : it seems like a lot of them has bought your story.
We're not as foolish as you think.

"Last badge's EXCOs are just useless. Well, ynnow, they have loads of conflicts with me, that's why I hold no posts."
"This GYLS Report 2010? I did that all alone. No one from the last badge has helped me"
"See this awesome Itouch? I got this in 2009 as Leader of the Week"

Lies, lies, and lies.

Such a shame that you are aware of the presence of integrity while spinning calumnies after calumnies. Well, I have no idea if you apprehend the whole idea of integrity. HAHA, yes no maybe--once again, your favourite tag line.

Looking at all your lies--your target is me. Not the EXCOs for PPS 2010, not us who went to GYLS 2010 and tasked to do the report together, nor the fabricated story of being the Leader of the Week.

Remonstrating me while obliquely making others believe that you are better.

Grow up.

You think being an iconoclast is idiosyncratic, you believe that by telling stories you're going to dampen my spirits, spoil my reputation;

you think by being this : you'll be happy while gaining pre-eminence.

Grow up.

And for those, those whom we trusted and had faith in, and who listened and whimsically changes your minds as easily as how she snaps her fingers---I am disappointed but not surprised.

I am not here to start a war, nor am I here to disregard you as a genius in schemes, having a bifurcate face and your well-hidden superficiality. And I'm not here to reveal the truth--we swore that it'll be confidential during every interview. And confidential it is.

All these started with you not getting the award in GYLS 2009 and a phone call from me to join PPS.

I do not want to blame you for being vindictive and revengeful. After all, that's how you make friends and divide the world into right or wrong, black and white, good and bad.

I wish you good luck in your life after secondary school, and please----

Grow up.

Signed, Your disappointed nemesis.

"You're too kind. Stop being that kind."

Well I suppose if more people stop saying that to kind souls and start being a lil' bit nicer to those around them,

this world, will be a better place to live in.

"We do not need the votes of the Chinese and the Indians"

(Datuk Johari Bin Abdul Ghani--Umno Titiwangsa Division Chief. Currently top my list of Stupidest Malaysian Politician. Should appear in Reader's Digest world's most ridiculous politicians.)

Joke of the Year

"Kita tidak perlu undi Orang Cina dan Orang India"

*claps*

That's the biggest joke I've ever heard, so far. There may be more, seeing them ruling the country with that signature 'tidak apa' attitude. Oh wait, or maybe they don't even know how to rule a country, tidak apa-lah.

Dear Datuk, winning votes by segregating people into races--is totally a kick in your own nuts. This backfires the big SATU MALAYSIA vision, and it is so obvious that this dictum carries a meaning too deep for you to understand.

First, by saying that you can win the seat by gaining the votes of a certain race : everybody knows it's a mistake. The mistake lies in here : why is the government trying to win votes using tenuous ways instead or serving the people and earn deserving votes? The Malaysian people trust the government to flourish their lives with the income taxes they pay, but instead they see their money gone perished; schemes of winning votes are so inept, that it becomes a joke itself. The case of giving out RM100 in CASH to every school kid in government schools is one of the many examples. I mean, c'mon, "who uses RM100 on books?"---(a status on Facebook by a Malaysian student, with a high number of likes : 61) A government who truly wants to serve their people would use better ideas to benefit them : conduct a survey, interviews, etc, work alongside with educators and book publishers/retail sellers, find out which book gives intellectual benefits to students, giving out VOUCHERS of various bookshops. In a nutshell, do the difficult but proper way. I do not have the solutions myself--it's your job instead, Datuk.

Walao giving out cash to students are like giving roses to peanuts. Or walnuts. whatever. Even common sense can tell that.

And let me conclude that with the explicit truth : Our government is on the wrong track.
You, are on the wrong track, Datuk. With that tidak-apa attitude, I guess this is not a thing to be worried about. So don't worry too much, the people are doing all the worrying for you.

Secondly, true, they have all the statistics in their area. This means they do have manpower to get these number. Seeing you announcing the figures of different races so succinctly, I know I'll never have a government who lead us into cultivating acceptance among different races. If and only if they could instead find out what's troubling the people, and have figures to come out with the top-ten improvements GREATLY needed. The first one should be public toilets---and I strongly believe that with the amount of taxes each father pays it's enough to make public toilets usable.

and the most erroneous and disturbing thing is :

these people in our government are taking us for granted.

"Kita tidak perlu undi Orang Cina dan Orang India."

Let me tell you this, dear Datuk : yes, Malaysians may be voting their government, and you can still buy  diamond ring$ for your wife, or build mansion$ with our money, our sweat and blood. We may not be capricious enough to change this country : many of us, the younger ones, are perished in your dirty game of politics. An increase in juvenile delinquency highlights the failure part of our education system. You may think most of us are disillusioned with your public affability with the people. Good luck. Good luck for the upcoming elections then.

The people are greatly disappointed, but this is their home and their family. That's one thing I would very much like you to know : we still love this country. But don't be the Grim Reaper that tears this beautiful land apart, and a friendly reminder--you're already halfway there. Any more of the 'tidak-apah' side in governing this state may lead to more unfathomable-s, you and I clearly know this. The question is on how much you're willing to accept to continue being accepted as the government.

Stop the Jingoism. Start the Job.

**************************************************************************
I'll end this with a joke since all of us are jokers. I still have a lot to learn from you tho, Datuk.

"During National Day I cried when I see the fireworks. Not because I'm super patriotic or what--but because I see my taxes blasting off in the sky every year without fail, just like that."

Thanks to the abolishment of ISA I can safely say I am safe, unless, of course, a promise is not kept, again. Or rather it is nothing but a political fraud.

I still remember the day

You said I deserve better.

Thank you friend, you're right all along.
I truly deserve better. And I'm...
I'm truly happy that I've let go.

The Little Things we care everyday

Yes, I do care.
Caring is sharing.
I care for you, said your former boyfriend,
who left you in the dark
when you start to see light.
Obama-care ;
"I dont care if they say I don't
I do"

Yes, there's something in this world which we care
Your parents, your friends, your hair, your blood, your body
Your soul, or maybe soulmate.

I care. I care, and I really do.
I care for my future, and I'm ready to give up anything for dreams bigger than what I'm having now.
I care for the task I'm given, or the duty I'm responsible to.
I care for the future of my country, and for this I really do even if everyone says I'm crazy.
I care for the uncle who plays his Er-Hu dutifully on the streets everyday, singing with his toothless grin.
I care for the mum who lost his son, and his body covered only by a sheet.
My heart ache when I read about girls being raped casually.
I cried when a boy is not buried when he's dead, just because they could not find a grave site in Somalia
I teared when I see the conditions in Madina Camp, where refugees crowd in makeshift shelters.

Yup, this statement says it all
I am no hero, neither am I a heroin.
and No, I not here to say I will become one.

But there's one thing that keeps me wondering : if we, as young people, as youths
as the generation with so much passion and energy
and when we know little about failure
knowing that courage is not the absence of fear,
but the judgement that something else is more important than fear
If, and if only if,
everyone of us
care less about our hair-do
and care more on the suburban children who are struggling to continue their education
care less on where we're going to chiil-ax
and care more on those without a roof above their heads.
care less about our broken friendships and failed relationships
and focus on building a brighter future for our children, and change what's needed to be changed
fix what's needed to be fixed.
care a little less on the clothes we wear, and what the others might think of us
and take a good look at the world around us, without the judging glasses we used to wear
care less on the amount of money we have
and care more on the amount of love we can give, especially to strangers
.......................................................................................................................

This world, regardless on how bad the world leaders are
how unpromising the economy might be
how dissapointing the government could be
or how hard life is to you----
----will certainly be much, much, much more better than it is.

I'm not here to say : look here, bro
stop being that selfish and think your life's a total crap
nor am I here to say : see I C-A-R-E.
no, there's still a long way there for me.
But I'm ready to take up the challenge
to be reponsible for changes
to care less on what I do not have, or do not possess
and to help the others, who might be experiencing more pain than me
To look at the world from the underneath of a glass bottom boat
and to lead a life's journey with a sense of purpose;
knowing that what I have and what I do not have makes a huge difference to the people around me.

"If not me, then who?
If not now, then when?"

Let's start this now, Li Shing.

Appraciating the wonders of little wonderful things in the midst of the hectic J1 life

All these things that's happening around me when I was happily typing away in front of my keyboard

Someone staying back in college for sports training
Some cat got bitten by ants
A young girl tying up her loosen shoe lace
and another one probably enjoying chips on her desk after 3 hours of mugging.
Some bottle of 100 plus got into a package to be delivered.
Some silly guy poured coffee over the table
Some...................Ok I run out of list, temporarily.
......................................................................................................................................................

You get the idea. Randomness.

Randomness is not a good thing entirely, but it is not a bad thing.

Reasons for why it is not a good thing
1. It makes your points in GP essays vague
2. Some markers are too dumb to read between the lines and appreciate randomness
3. Random jokes make othere shiver, and yet it is a good thing cos' it lowers the Earth's temperature (I'm gonna include this in the later part of this post, T-HEE)
4. People tend NOT to give you the reaction you so want them to, and THAT LOOK.
5. And sometimes, just sometimes, random people are being labelled as dorks.

and Here's the list I very much prefer more.

The awesome litany of reasons why being random is super duper fun!!
1. Randomness lowers down the Earth temperature (refer above statement)
2. Super lame jokes make me laugh without a reason, and it is fun replying people " I HASN'T A SINGLE DAMN IDEA!!" when people ask you why u laugh, and when they give you THE LOOK.
3. Funny people are random, and random people are funny.
4. Random people are smart, and smart people are the most random bunch of people on Earth I've met.
5. They just make you smile and laugh, whole-heartedly, without you expecting it.
6. You got a chance to give those random peeps THE LOOK, and Laugh your head out after that. (I don't understand why people need to laugh their arses off but head seems fine to me, after all the mouth has a smaller proximity to the head)
7. Well, you can write about anything you want, anytime, anywhere! Even when you're on some escalator carrying groceries with your both hands, you'll be random enough to pen some ideas in some corner of your brain.
8. Because being random is being me.
9. Being random makes a person stop, listen, think and feel. Most people I know jump into conclusions faster than the speed of an airplane, before others have the chance to finish their sentence. That is how random people tend to create the most incredible ideas and inventions in the world.
10. sometimes random people are just too lazy to categorize their stuff
11. Randomness is part of creation, just as failure is part of success
12. Random people hate unexplained, authoritative rules. They just hate the idea of having rules in the first place. I understand the important of rules, but, hey, some of them are really redundant.
13. They see the link, the connection to every single thing around them. The awareness, which many do not possess, honestly, has make dreams after dreams into realities.

Which I randomly want to add in two points to the previous list :
6. Because the lack of randomness has wreck dreams which could very well be a reality.
7. Because, un-random people are dead boring people to be around (Only 1% of the people I falls in this category)

Let's count how many people we meet in life that is random enough to notice the subtle yet beautiful events around them. (tiny things often are..just look at me XD)

I myself, having a radar for randomness enough to say that... most of the people I met,

ARE RANDOM ENOUGH TO BE AWESOME :)

Of frivolity and fundamentality

Let me start this off with a few scenarios

A person spending more on clothes rather than books.
A company investing more in advertisements than improvements on a good.
A wedding planned so furiously to make it grander than the other counsin's wedding while all the couple need is each other after the ceremony.

I did not imply that a bit of frills and trills every now and then is BAD, nor it is malicious till we need to stay away from it.

Did anyone notice how simplicity seem to bring out the very core of an action, an event, and every story to happen? I have not the wisdom yet to do so.

But one thing I do notice is that...the people
more and more people are give more attention to what is outside rather than what is inside.
Just look at the amount of people trying so hard to look nice
to dress up
and tonnes of make up on their faces
while forgetting that what pleases someone is not how you look, but what you are.

See those advertisements around us!
How many of them tell the truth? Yes, but how much of the truth?

Look at the effort lecturers put on the slides! I begin to see more and more animation PLUS cartoons, and is there a giraffee in the economics lecture slides?

Weddings are weddings, and now we have wedding planners too? oh and they are paid? for some lavish stuff? Haha yeah some people just want to enjoy the wealth they earned or they had born with. Look at the royal wedding, and how much more people yearn to have this kind of wedding. Some even wed for the sake of some lavish weddings and a lifelong opportunity to spend without having to think twice seeing that their prospective spounses are rich, or maybe they can file up a divorce or something.........
And yet the most important thing about a wedding is the tying up of two individuals.
Yes I do agree appearance do more that what it should at times, and people appreciate you when you look nicer, when things look nicer, when presentations are more graphical...

But somehow I think most efforts are wasted on it. Sad to say, I can't help but to do the same thing, maybe not that much effort, but still.

The simple things amidst the complexity of life

I once was told
life's greatest gifts come in the most unexpexted ways
I tend to anticipate, plan, scheme, or even dream
but never was satisfied.

Is this what I really need? Or is this only what I want, and never meant to me mine?

Life's greatest girfts, indeed, are presented in the most unexpected ways that we may never imagine.

I had been craving for chocolate since last month, eating different brands of chocolate never satisfy me. I chose to avoid eating those guilty chocolates when my weight meter shoot up.
But still, I kept dreaming of chocolates, every now and then seeing those bastards wrapped in beautiful wrappers from afar.
Well my empty money pockets indeed helped a lot throughout this agonizing...mission.

*******************************************************************

My friend, who had returned from home, Bali, she gave me a biscuit,
somehow it looked a bit like..those biscuits in Ipoh, Heong Pieh. XD
Thanking here mindlessly, I tucked it away, and it joined the mess and books on my table.

Funny, how your tummy rumbles in the middle of the night, and NO
No mamak stalls around, no mamak kaki-s, NO BREAKING OF CURFEW
Hah! That Bali biscuit!

*took a bite*
ZOMG CHOCOLATE INSIDEE <3 :DDD

*****************************************************************************

Funny how frustrating it was for me to find the right kind of chocolate for my gluttonous tummy
when
one truly satisfying moment came on a faithful, tummy-rumbling night.

I find it hard to forget the simple joys like this, and decided to spread it, my first baby step is to post it in this bloggie.
Simple joys, they really do exist, don't they??

I'm keeping my tomorrow as a surprise, then *wink*

the UNFRIEND button

This scribbler believe
that Hatred is a common thing in human. Blame it on the Human Nature.

This scribbler also believe that
there are times one can forget the pass, forgive the sinner who has hurt him/her unintentionally,
and not let himself/herself suffer by continuing the hatred.

Apparently I was wrong. This world is so much different from what I thought it is.

Facebook, as usual, always find ways to improve itself. In so that icons and features are added ever now and then that those seem so redundant to me, in everyway not an IT geek at all.

Well, here comes the 'UNFRIEND' button. Unwittingly, a friend in your list will just unfriend you, or you can do the same thing to your friend list. Convenient enough, to clear your friend lists, or to send a clear message to the unfriend-ed target of yours :

"WE ARE NOT FRIENDS ANYMORE."

It's kind of absurd in a way, friendships can be destroyed by a button in facebook. I can't bring myself to say I am perfectly nonchalant to these situations.

Shameless as ever, I should admit that I am a facebook addict, ever since stranded on a tiny dot island. Not many friends here, a fact I should be aware of being a newbie in a new environment.

Has everybody forgot that friendships are not built in a day? Forgeiveness is always around in a corner? And it is us who choose to embrace hatred instead of forgiveness?

I should say, I can't be sure myself.

But one thing I am sure : she has given me a very, very, very painful way to absorb my lesson.

By reminding me : once you've hurt me, you'll never get back the love of a friend that you yearn so much from me.

Never, never, never.

Tales from Bubble Tea-s

I like Bubble Tea.

In fact, me and my roomie share the same passion : the loyal love for bubble tea. Mind you, she has been addicted for the pass 4 years, and for me, well, only recently, not yet an amateur like her.

The cheapest one we can get here, hmm, is about $1.30, and some cost more, some even have their own franchise brand. The one we're really, really attached with is the one in Parkway.
*Ipoh's bubble tea costs RM2 each, if you're talking about that shops opposite my Secondary School*

So there it goes, if you go to Parkway, buy me one bubble tea kay? Deal.

Sometimes I like bringing home the two cups, sometimes finishing mine before returning. But one difference between me and her is : I always, always finish my bubble tea first before her.

Which leads me to a thought in my head, sigh, here goes another S1.30 in 5 minutes. Mind you, hers can last for one whole hour.

And sometimes I wonder, how many things in life I had not savour, really taste what's inside, and taken for granted.
Countless, once again. Like the flowers being bought, given and thrown away when they withered.

.....................................
But still, bubble tea rocks when u drink it illegally on buses. :D

Jogging along the shore line at ECP--you knew you're blessed

Ingrid is probably wondering
why this fellarh here choose to jog in the evenings
rather than mornings
or maybe afternoons

well, here's the thing Ingrid :D
I like jogging in the evenings at ECP because :

1. those are the times kids play
It reminds me so much of seeing the world for the first time, getting excited easily, and appreciated the fact that your parents are always there with you
2. you can see couples cuddling each other
old or young, they're all cute together! and those weird stuff people do to their darlings are just funny :)
3. a group of ladies walking and having fun together
means being single is cool! reminds me i have a bunch of girlfriends to bitch around :D
4. dogs
aren't these creatures the most adorable thing you've ever seen on Earth? some of them even wear SHOES! some look like their owners. oh look, there's one chasing after a stick on the beach, just beautiful.
5. people
you meet different people, some jogging some running some grabbing water bottles while huffing and puffing but all are having their relaxing time, if you call jogging a relaxing time, that is.
6. clothes
it is a rather bizarre thing to do but i love admiring clothes. this is the time when u see nike running shorts, adidas singlets and maybe a few school PE shirts here and there. oh not forgetting those who actually come here just to stroll after a hard day at work. Wouldn't it be a pleasure to see such people in their beach shorts and formal wear?
7. shoes
ahh, a bliss. i just love shoes, just love those shoes, this is the time you'll see nike adidas and all sorts of running shoes with colors beyond imaginations. some even have different colors of shoe laces. some single ladies might take off their heels and put on a pair of sandals, some ladies with their mateys have to have their heels on (no hard feelings) while men simply wore sandals, slippers or bare foot
8. family
Ingrid, this is the best part of all the evening jogs. Being away from my family makes me realized how much i miss them and how muc time spent on other stuff rather than enjoying the moments together. see those kids, see those proud moms with their eyes glittering everytime they see their children running, laughing; see those dads tirelessly chasing after their kids, and trying hard to ctach them when they trip and fall. see those kids, playing like they've never played before, and they've never build a sand castle before, and they've never had so much fun in their lives before.
evenings re the best time to see families, since mornings are filled with hectic schedules and classes. which is, for me, kind of pathetic but nonetheless important to survive;mornings are too beautiful to be wasted.

There you go, Ingrid, the answers to your question on the way to Fair price. Thank you for walking with me, that i know i'll never walk alone in the dark pavements, no matter how safe it appears to be.
And you'll probably notice more things too, if you've jog in the evenings. ;)

Down the road....this time, a cross road

Dear friends,

We know, this is the time,
where hard decisions are made
where choices bloom like forever for some
and the others who might think they're not that lucky to have choices
believe this : you have.
When all dissapointments flood up all the way to your knees
and when you think the world is unfair
when you feel all efforts and hard work all along; unrecognized
when all your hopes and dreams seem to dissapear and you're lost
Fear not,
those dreams are yours forever, they might be blur, but they're yours.
Even if the whole world thinks you are a loser,
without scholarships, without going through what the others think you should go through as a brilliant student
show them this : you're amazing
Amazing enough to challenge the norms and stereotypes
Amazing enough to bounce back after rejections
Amazing enough to say : I'll prove you wrong, and there's nothing between me and my dreams.
Count your blessings, every single one.
Not forgetting to look for doors of opportunities too, you might not know you'll create your own path
and write your own pages of stories with the most creative ways that no one could ever imagine
Smile : cause you're destined for something wonderful.

For those who had been blessed by one of the most valuable gifts in this world
Yes, it means everything for you, and I'm proud of you. :)
People might get jealous when you got what they eyed for
But don't worry, you're destinied to have it
Treasure it, hold it with both your hands
And don't forget to thank whoever's up there for this
Being a scholar isn't easy, but there are thousands out there who wish to be in your position
Count your blessings, every single one.
Some might say your future is planned and structured,
But you can always choose to go the other paths if you want to
Smile : cause you're destined for something wonderful.

The difference doesn't seem that prominent after all : we're all destined for something wonderful.

So I guess all of us are blessed in one way or another, don't we?
=)

All the best, and let's fight this war now.
My battle to stay awake studying is.....................
..................I think I need an army of coffee for that.

Love, Li Shing :D

Of going forward or hugging on to the past

Well upon reading this title, many would say : GO FORWARD
look forward, cos' your past is your past, future is there, now you have the present to draw your future. Your past, is a history, and it is a ghost now, don't let your shadows swallow your dreams.

what if your future is so uncertain, you are so shaky and your confidence level is so low that it disturbs you so much?
what if your current situation is so bad, till you didn't notice the change in you, and you thought everything is ok, but in fact it isn't?
what if the change in you is for the worse, but you thought it is for the better, and you find the change had let you blend perfectly into the crowd now?
what if you're tired of fighting and being different?
what if you realized the values you hold so dearly are being challenged, and you thought of giving up?
what if you were so strong before this, and now you;re on the brink of giving up and breaking down?
what if you finally realize the world does not evolve around you, even, ironically, many assure you that you are the world and you have the universe at the back of your hands?
what if the place you're in slash both your confidence and ego into half, or even more?
what if you used to be told that you can do everything, as long as you have the passion and heart, but not when you're here, and it is impossible to do everything?
what if in the midst of trying so hard to change for the future, putting in effort to do well in the present, we forgot our past?
what if one day, we lose all the love ones we know? literally and metaphorically?
what if we hold on to our past so dearly and you just don't want to lose every speck of you in the past--your friends, attitude, naive-ness, and all?

Yes it is indeed a battle for everyone in every stage of his life. but somehow, we know, there's a rainbow somewhere ahead. the only thing I can do, for now, is to pray, and have faith.
Tolerate the turbulence, tolerate the pressure.

and forgive me if I've ignore you, friend. Your presence in my heart is of utmost importance. And I want you to know this : I'll never forget anyone who crossed my path, even if I forget their names, their faces, I won't forget how they had impacted my life.
